Hi and welcome to Shine Yoga. We are here to support you at any stage of life, offering a variety of yoga and pilates classes that encourage better physical and mental health.

Shine Yoga was created from a deep passion to support women as they journey through pregnancy, birth and motherhood, we are one of only a few yoga studios on the Sunshine Coast that offer specialised Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga and Pilates classes. These classes are designed to empower mothers with information and practices to help them approach pregnancy, birth and motherhood feeling calm, confident & informed.

Whether you are new to yoga and pilates, or already an experienced practitioner, you can enjoy the many benefits of yoga during any stage of life.

A very overdue review but having now been pregnant a second time I need to express how grateful I am for finding Kristy/Shine when I did.

I did Kristy’s yoga and Pilates for my first pregnancy in 2024. Due to a house move and class time convenience, I did a few classes at another well known clinic on the coast this pregnancy instead.
I can’t actually put into words how much better Kristy’s classes were. Nothing really ‘wrong’ with the other clinic might I add, but Kristy’s classes not only prepare you physically for birth, but mentally as well. In hindsight, the mental preparation was the most important part. The environment was supportive, empowering and educational- everything I didn’t think I needed, but absolutely did!

I really had not a clue about labour/birth the first time around and I would have been lost without the education and techniques that Kristy taught throughout her classes. I used techniques that I learnt in her classes in my second pregnancy/labour/birth and couldn’t be more thankful that I found Kristy/Shine for my first pregnancy as none of this was taught in the classes I attended at the other clinic for my second pregnancy.
After two natural, unmedicated births I can safely say these classes were by far the best investment and most important thing I did on my pregnancy journey/s.

Shine is an absolute MUST for all, but particularly first time, Mum’s. Do not hesitate in stopping your search now, as Kristy’s classes are by far the best on the coast. 5 stars doesn’t seem quite enough.

Kristy is amazing at what she does. She expertly gives modifications for my pubic symphysis dysfunction, meaning I’m able to continue exercising in this pregnancy, when I wasn’t in my first. She’s also warm and welcoming and provides brilliant preparation for birth. Highly recommend!

I have attended pregnancy/birth yoga and later once my baby was born, Mums and Bubs yoga with Kristy. It’s definitely something I looked forward to each week. I definitely feel as though the pregnancy/birth yoga helped my birth experience in a positive way, because it was some time out each week during pregnancy where I actually felt like my body could relax, stretch and wind down. Which is often something hard to do when pregnant. Kristy knew exactly the right stretches and positions to do, and if it didn’t feel right, she’d help you work on something else. Mums and Bubs yoga is such a fantastic idea. Being able to bring my baby to yoga was so nice to do in the morning, and not worry about who was going to look after her whilst I was gone. Kristy and everyone in the class is very welcoming and non-judgmental and it is an extremely safe space. Kristy is great with all the babies too and always tried to make sure that the mummas got some form of stretch in if baby didn’t want to be put down for the session.
